We are Insens, an innovative company that develops predictive maintenance monitoring and energy optimization solutions to reduce unplanned production downtime and to support industrial partners in a more sustainable and efficient energy use.

After several years of discussions with the world’s largest industrial sites, two clear issues were identified.

  1. Production machines waste a lot of energy due to an inadequately machine selection and inefficient points of operations. Moreover those machines are responsible for nearly 50% of the worldwide consumption. A slight amelioration of the efficiency of those machines has a considerable impact on a global environmental and financial scale.
  2. Those machines fail unexpectedly which causes unplanned downtimes, a real nightmares for those production plants.

That’s why we decided to create a cutting-edge technology solution from scratch to address these two issues.

Candidate profile 👩‍💼👨‍💼 & your upcoming challenges 🎯

As a Machine Energy Analyst, you will be responsible for the energy analyses transmitted to the client, the development of automated energy analysis tools and the implementation of these analyses on the client’s site. You will analyze data from high consuming customer machines using the analyses tools you will design. You will have to understand the operational process of these machines in order to propose possible improvements without impacting the operational constraints of these machines.
More specifically, you’ll be responsible for :

  • Establish detailed energy analysis reports highlighting possible optimizations
  • Highlight the energy, financial and environmental gains of these optimizations.
  • Understand the operation of our customers’ electric machines in order to propose adequate improvements to their processes.
  • Review the scientific literature in search for possible energy optimizations techniques three-phase asynchronous motors, their load or their electrical control.
  • Develop new energy analysis tools in collaboration with our IT developers
  • You will be in direct contact with the customer. You will need to be able to defend your analysis and listen to customer feedback in order to build increasingly efficient models.

Requirements 📚

  • Master degree in mechanical or electrical engineering 
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of AC power and electrical machines
  • A great capacity for autonomy and resourcefulness
  • Be interested and curious about the environmental impact you will have
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English or French, Dutch is a bonus
  • Be able to talk with customers and turn their concerns into solutions
  • Good entrepreneurship, adaptability and result-oriented skills.
